Frequently Asked Questions

When will my first box of coffee arrive?

Your first box of delicious coffee should arrive within a week of your order. We work with our network of roasters to pick your perfect coffee and ship it to you within a day of roasting. This means sometimes it may take 3-4 days before your coffee is roasted and shipped out.


Can I change or cancel my subscription?

Of course you can! Changes can be made by logging into your account and hitting the cancel button. There are no cancellation fees. For members who cancel their six month and annual subscription plans, the amount refunded will equal the pro-rated monthly cost of the remainder of the plan. Contact us at cancel@beangenius.com to cancel.


Can I change or cancel my gift subscription?

Unfortunately, gift subscriptions cannot be changed or cancelled but personal details can be changed.


What kind of coffees does BeanGenius offer?

We offer both single-origin coffees as well as blends. We work with expert coffee cuppers who taste all our coffees and select only the coffees that score at least 85+ points on a scale of 100. Typically, all coffees that score over 80 are considered "specialty" but we go beyond that. In fact, many of our coffees regularly score above 90. Only less than 1% of the coffees score over 90+.


Do you ship internationally?

We do! We feel all caffeine addicts should enjoy our picks, local and global.


Do you ship to APO or other US Military addresses?

We can do it, but it means it might take longer to get there. Depending on the country, it can take up to 13 days. Each shipment to an APO/FPO/DPO needs the recipient's name and rank, their unit, and the APO/FPO/DPO address with 9-digit ZIP Code. Send us an email to connect@beangenius.com and we'll get your account up and running.


How fresh are the coffees that are in my BeanGenius box?

As fresh as they can be! Our coffees are sent to you directly from our roasters’ facilities within a day of roasting, often the same day.


Can I order a ground coffee subscription?

Your wish is our command. While we highly recommend whole bean coffee, we can accommodate you, so email us at connect@beangenius.com to find out how best you can receive ground coffee.

You’re a genius, how do you recommend I brew my delicious coffee?

We're working on detailed guides for all the major brew methods. In the interim, feel free to email us at connect@beangenius.com with any specific brewing questions. We are always caffeinated and ready to help!


How do you pick the roasters you work with?

We carefully select and sample the coffees from all our roasters to make sure they are offering the best that specialty coffee has to offer from around the country. We are also adding new roasters all the time so we can expand our offerings.


What service do you use to ship your coffee?

We use USPS Priority Mail for all our shipments to ensure it gets to you as fresh as possible. You will get a tracking number as soon as your coffee is shipped and watch the journey it takes to get to you.


Can I order a BeanGenius subscription for my office?

Absolutely! Send us an email to connect@beangenius.com for special volume pricing and we'll get your whole office into the BeanGenius lifestyle.


Do you have office/bulk plans?

We sure do! We know getting through the work day can be hard enough as it is. You should at least stay caffeinated with great coffee. Let us help. Drop us an email – office@beangenius.com and we'll work out a plan specifically for you.


Billing & Payment:

All payments for the BeanGenius Marketplace are due upon completion of order. If a payment is not received or the payment method is declined the order will not be placed for the products and no items will be shipped.
Orders originating from the "Coffee Queue" will contain scheduled payments setup by the account owner at time of activation and checkout. The profile account owner is responsible for all orders from the "Coffee Queue" once activated on the BeanGenius Marketplace. Please email office@beangenius.com if you have any questions pertaining to these terms.


Refund & Return Policy:

If you find that a coffee you have purchased is unsatisfactory, damaged or compromised, we will remedy the situation immediately. Please contact us within 14-days for an exchange or a full-refund. Coffee is a perishable good and should be enjoyed within a window of 7-14 days after being roasted. If there are any issues with your coffee please email office@beangenius.com and we will find a solution to your coffee problem.
