The long-awaited fresh crop from Ethiopia has arrived! The naturally processed Ethiopia Limu brings flavors to the cup you might not have known were possible in coffee-- the dry fragrance and aroma promise good things with florals of jasmine and coffee blossom, and sweet hints of berry. In the cup, notes of juicy, sweet blueberry dominate, with blackberry, raspberry, and strawberry mingling together. The body supports this acidity admirably, bringing creamy, buttery texture like cashew butter. The overall effect feels a bit like drinking blueberry pie. The finish rounds off nicely with notes of black tea and apricot. Grown and processed on site at the Burka Gudina estate in the Limu region of Ethiopia, at an elevation of 1800 meters above sea level, where owner Ibrahim Hussein carries on three generations of family coffee production.
