About Bootstrap Coffee Roasters Burundi Rugoza
Rugoza is part of a really awesome program that our importing partner undertakes. Coffees collected at the Rugoza Washing Station are graded on quality, and a premium is paid directly to farmers for exceptional coffees! It is grown at about 1350 meters and consists of 3 varietals known for their sweetness: Bourbon, Jackson and Mbirizi. This coffee is the result of contributions of about 1200 producers, and we are proud to present it to you! In the cup, it has more of a deeper sweetness than our last Burundi offering, and we’ve given it a roast profile that really emphasizes this. It offers rich caramel and herbal flavors and a grapefruit-like acidity. It has a silky and very full body. It is a great, balanced Burundi offering (and our last this season)!
