Truly one of the most unique, beautiful coffees we've ever been able to get our hands on. In the hills of the Gakenke district lies the Coko washing station, which sits at an unusually high altitude of around 2200 meters above sea level. The Coko station (pronounced CHO-co) is managed by the mostly-female Twongerekawa Coko cooperative, which helps the local smallholder farmers process and ship their beans around the world. Due to the extremely high altitude, and very unique processing method, the region produces a very small amount of honey-process beans every year. We're excited to get our hands on a bit, as this is not something that we know is going to be easy to get next time around. So don't blink, or you just might miss it!
